The Stealth System has three sections comprising of:
* Primary System
* Secondary System
* Collection Tank
Primary System
The primary or elevated fluid collection system attaches to the flow nipple underneath the rotary table where the majority of used fluid is captured and directed back into the flow nipple. Installation of the primary system is quick, simple, and easy, ensuring a low maintenance requirement with little to no modification of the flow nipple. As a secondary effect, foreign objects separated and collected from the fluid here are prevented from going down the annular. This system offers several operating advantages and will not be compromised if there is any movement of the rig.
Secondary System
The secondary section is the largest part of the system and can be attached to the flow nipple under the flow line or around the BOP flange connecting to the Hydril.
This system further maximizes fluid recovery operating in the same manner as the primary having the ability to capture hazardous materials, equipment or debris from the floor above or in the fluid and to separate them for easy retrieval. The secondary system also has the integral design strength required for use as a working platform. Any separated fluid collected at this stage is directed to the collection tank via heavy duty hoses.
Collection Tank
The collection tank is sized, depending on the application, to collect 50 to 500 gallons. The recovered fluid stored in the tank may be pumped directly, or returned via a vacuum truck, to the mud tanks to be reused.
